Craftsmanship and savoir-faire have always been
at the heart of PATOU’s identity.

For the Spring Summer 2025 collection, we are proud to have
collaborated with Ecole des Savoir Faire (EDSF)
in Antanarivo, Madagascar, and its talented artisans
to bring to life a collection of raffia accessories.

Founded in 2022 by the Axelle factory,
EDSF is one of the first accredited vocational training centers
for artisanal trades in Madagascar.

This season, PATOU became the first Maison
to participate in the training of 20 students
in the art of crochet raphia – passing on valuable skills
and supporting long-term empowerment trough craftmanship.

Handcrafted from sustainable,
locally sourced materials,
each raffia bag required 50 hours
of dedicatedartistry and precision.

To honor this incredible work,
a special label featuring the artisan’s name
has been developed for each bag.
This collaboration is part of Patou Care,
our ongoing commitment to responsible
and sustainable practices.

ABOUT ECOLE DES SAVOIR FAIRE,
ANTANARIVO, MADAGASCAR

Founded in 2022, L’Ecole des Savoir Faire
is one of the first accredited vocational training
centers for artisanal trades in Madagascar.
Its mission is to preserve cultural heritage
and pass on artisanal skills. Through educational initiatives
and partnerships, the School of Know-How provides training
and professional integration for young women without
qualifications or undergoing career reorientation.
